Acrylic on canvas

h: 40 w: 80 d: 2 (cms).

I painted this using gestural and free-flowing marks using a kitchen spatula, wild grasses, and bold brushstrokes. This intuitive artwork evokes memories of enjoyable walks with our dogs, where wild grasses sway gently in the wind. I am deeply connected to nature, although now I spend most of my time painting, I've been a professional garden photographer for over 20 years and am a very keen gardener. I live each day with the seasons and am deeply connected to plants, trees and flowers and all the wildlife that enjoys it's generous bounty. My father, a scientist was ahead of his time advocating conservation and organic growing in the 60's and 70's, for which I am deeply grateful.
